Not sure why these devices are so picky, but at least someone found a workaround.JB4 Mobile allows you to monitor multiple parameters of your JB4 equipped car at once. Parameters such as boost psi, rpm, fuel trims, air/fuel ratios, ignition advance, fuel pressure and much more are all available. I have this for my mk7 gti and although the tune is working fine the app itself chooses when it wants to work and for how long it won't connect or it says it does but won't show ANY information
I'll update if I get help. I always have issues connecting, when it does, it freezes, I get an error saying that my cable is faulty or the chip is bad, 3 different complete JB4 kits later, still does the same thing over 40°F outside. Now 4 the jb4 itself. My 14 BMW 335i EWGFBO no power from jb4 n limp mode randomly. Sent logs n pics like POP-UP says, never get a response, 1x I did n the"C.S."🤣 was rude n acted like I'm stupid n like I don't know what I'm doing, waste of 🕐🕣🕤
Reads many guages like water/oil temp, afr,rims, but no speed and no ethanol. Also my car has a check light, it read and cleared it once bit it came back and the jb4 cant even read it.
What do you mean by join the beta? I'm having the same issue unable to connect with jb4.
Note for newbies: if you're using the bluetooth kit to connect, you have to initiate the bluetooth connection from the app and not from the android system settings like every other bluetooth device you would use. It's pretty silly that it requires you to connect this way, but that's how it works.
App is nice when I can actually use it. When connected it never wants to read any of the gauges besides boost, it randomly starts "logging" but won't turn off, and it won't read codes. If everything worked they way it should the app would be phenomenal. It's kinda disappointing that I paid like $20 for an app to have the ability to read gauges, data log, scan and clear codes but the only way I can get it to work is by uninstalling the app and then reinstalling.
App works great but can't upgrade hardware. Attempting to perform a firmware update when I get the error "CARB approved JB4 systems can not be updated or adjusted" Does this mean that I'll never be able to update the hardware or is this a glitch in the app?
